Learn to harness the power of social media for science communication. In this workshop, we’ll guide you through crafting fun, engaging posts and creating simple, visually appealing graphics quickly and easily.
Bio:
Alise Cross is the Communications Assistant for the UF Thompson Earth Systems Institute housed at the Florida Museum of Natural History. She has ten years of experience in communications, social media management and advertising in the educational and nonprofit sectors. Currently, Alise is pursuing an MA in Public Interest Communication at the UF College of Journalism and Communications.
Since 2016 she has coordinated monthly events for Self Narrate, a local nonprofit organization with a mission to provide opportunities for individuals to experience empowerment through the writing and sharing of their personal stories. Additionally, she has worked with Sofar Sounds Gainesville to plan and promote events showcasing emerging musicians in nontraditional spaces.
